Welcome Summer!

Hello, fellow travelers, and welcome to Royal Journey's Traveler Blog, maintained by yours truly, Kelley Malay.  Are you as obsessed with travel as I am?  If so, please visit here often to find out what we've been up to, where we've been going, and for general travel inspiration and insight.  Right now, like so many of you, I'm just trying to keep my head above water as we enter the mad-dash known as the end of the school year.  Spring sports are wrapping up while summer sports are just beginning, and there is this uber-crazy 2 week overlap period where we have BOTH spring and summer sports at once, resulting in exhausted kids AND parents.  BUT, also like many of you, I'm trying to keep my eyes on the prize: summer family vacation!  We have a great one planned this year, coming up in July: national parks in Utah!  If your kids are "outside cats" like mine, this trip is right up your alley.  Stay tuned in the coming weeks for highlights!

We get about 5 perfect days in chicago a year- today was one of them!
